DescriptionThe school is devoted to coastal modeling and represents a unique occasion of comparison and dissemination of the most recent experience in the subject. The main goal is to present to the new generation of young researchers the state of art in coastal modeling and latest development in the field. The school is aimed at researchers, university teachers, engineers, graduate and post graduate students specialized in coastal modeling. It will allow gathering during one week about ten invited speakers and young researchers and engineers not only from research institutions and universities but also from the industry. The 5 days will be organized in morning tutorials and afternoon practical classes. The principal topic of the school, ocean modeling, will be enhanced with parallel topics including observational systems, data assimilation and transport studies. Participants are encouraged to present a poster to encourage individual communication, collaborations and exchanges of ideas.
